T-minus 13 days

2:03 PM

That's right, Hunter Wade Hodges will be here NO later than March 10th. I am scheduled to be induced at 5:30 AM that morning, and I can't tell you what a relief it is to know that this will all be coming to an end VERY soon. Of course, he could very well decide to come early (and that would be just fine with me). March 10th is a VERY special day for our family for 2 reasons (btw- we had no say in what day it would be. We were assigned the last medical induction for that date):

  1. Ady and Cade were BOTH 9 days early. My due date is March 19th... so March 10th will also make Hunter 9 days early (38 weeks and 4 days)
  2. March 10th, one year ago, my Granny passed away (Hunter is named after my Papa Wade). I just can't imagine a better way to turn sorrow into joy. Because of Hunter, that day will forever be a happy day for our family... kinda makes me tear up.
So, I'm spending these last few days creating projects and work to keep myself REALLY busy. My last day of work will be March 8th, and that makes me a little sad. I REALLY like my job and will miss everyone. Who am I kidding -- I can't go more than 3 days without Starbucks, so I'm sure we will be frequent visitors during my leave.

This week I have gotten my haircut, went on a Target shopping spree, and made plans with friends that I won't get to visit with for a while. We got to go to MOPS this morning, and it was SOOOOO nice to be back. I am so anxious to meet the little guy, but know I'm probably going to be homebound for the next year, and feel like I have 13 days to "stock up" and make my rounds. On the agenda for the rest of the day: cleaning the bathroom, finishing up photo albums, revamping our filing system, and a play date with some great friends. (I wasn't joking when I said I was creating work for myself)... I'm confident this time will pass quickly :)
