T-minus 48 hours
10:59 AMIt was a bustling weekend at the Hodges house! With less than 48 hours until Baby Hunter arrives, we worked all weekend to prepare.
I spent Friday afternoon, with shopping with my mom and the kids. Well, we went to lunch first, and then indulged ourselves at the Macy's Lancome counter. I was in desperate need of new make up! It was sooooo much fun! I just LOVE it that my mom has Fridays off! I miss our days of fulfilling our roles as the Real Housewives of Tulsa County -- hahaha! Boo for the real world and dual incomes! We had dinner/drinks (well none for me) with my parents at Los Cabos -- what a great end to a great day!
I worked my last day on Saturday, and man did it take it out of me! I came home and crashed for the rest of the day! Poor Dave had to pick up my slack, and he did a really great job (he even changed the litter box -- major brownie points!)! Luckily, we had zero calls to show the house on Saturday (we did show it Friday though). I couldn't have handled being kicked out again!
Sunday we finally made it to church after a couple weekends off. We knew it would probably be our last for a while. The weather on Sunday was BEAUTIFUL, so we took advantage of it and cleaned out our garage. Any of you that have seen our garage know it was a very scary place. Since Dave's parents brought over a weight set this summer, we just considered it a lost cause. We aren't pack rats by any means, but when we went through and staged our house it became the "catch all." If it's any indicator of how classy our neighbors are, we didn't have to throw much away. They swarmed our junk faster than we could pile it outside the garage. Man, I can't wait to get out of this neighborhood! The "new" garage is neatly organized and Lucy the Land Rover fits in there nicely. I took some "after" pictures, but they really don't do it justice. This was a HUGE check off my To Do List. Not only will it make moving a breeze, but will hopefully contribute to the sale of our home. Who wants to walk into a gross, nasty garage? NOT ME!
So with less than 48 hours until the arrival of Hunter Wade, I am left without much to do. I have some tidying up and laundry to get through. I would LOVE to get my car detailed, but this nasty rain makes it seem less than worth it. I also need to purchase gifts for the older two. It's important to me that they have some gifts to open, and can enjoy the celebration of the birth of their little brother without instantly being jealous... there will be a time to deal with that later ;) Dave will be off Wed.-Sun., and Sandy will be on Spring Break the next week, so I will have tons of help! Well, that's all for now... since I am scheduled for induction at 5:30 AM on Wednesday, the next post should include an update on our sweet baby boy! Tune in Wednesday/Thursday for the first pictures!
