The Flood
11:14 AMWe have had an eventful 24 hours! Yesterday, while blogging, I started a load of laundry. When I went to put it in the dryer, I had to swim through Lake Michigan... okay it wasn't THAT bad, but it wasn't fun! After debating the right course of action, we called a plumber. UGH!!! I absolutely HATE hiring outside help. Call me cheap, but I have been able to Google my way through almost every other repair situation since we bought this house. This was obviously something that was going to require professional assistance.
After 5 hours of work, a trip to the equipment rental place in BA, and lots of and anxiety about how much this was going to cost, we found out we had a clogged sewer line. That's it. It took about 10 minutes to fix and BAM, we were back in business! Luckily, the gracious plumber took mercy on our pocketbook and only charged us about 1/5th of what he should have. Thank you Jesus!
So today I'm playing catch up and cleaning up gross muddy footprints. It's our last day as a family of four, and I have a few surprises up my sleeve. When the kids wake up tomorrow Grammy will be here, which still hasn't hit home for either child, no matter how much we talk about it. So today is a day of preparation, but not for me, I AM READY!!! At this time tomorrow I'll be holding that sweet baby boy in my arms and our lives will be changed forever -- I can't wait!
