That's right. Last Thursday we said "adios" to kindergarten, and welcomed home our FIRST GRADER!!!

We didn't have huge plans for our Memorial Day weekend. We knew we'd have plenty of opportunities to have fun, but didn't want to be bound by a schedule. There was lots of water...splash pad...pool...water hose. Water of all kinds. That's how I expect our summer to go. Kids never get tired of water, but it sure does wear them out. That's the best of both worlds right there. I won't even complain about the six...yes SIX loads of towels I washed Monday night. 

We took time to reflect on the reason for the holiday, cooked out with family on Sunday, and caught up on some WWII history via the History Channel on Monday (while I was nursing my outbreak of poison ivy on the couch). Besides that Poison Ivy, we really kicked off our summer with a bang!
