Looking for a Great Cookbook?
10:29 AMA couple weeks ago we took a weekend get-away to Dallas, Texas. We had the most amazing weekend visiting family and friends, shopping, and eating our way through The Big D. We were really spoiled by my Aunt Val, who joyfully hosted ALL 5 of us for three days -- that is so brave!!! When I got there she had a little bag of "goodies" waiting on me, and in it was this:

Let me just say WOW!!! Everyone knows how I am s sucker for anything to do with the kitchen. This cookbook has not failed me yet. I feel like Julie in the movie Julie and Julia. Nearly every night for the past 2 weeks I have cooked something from it. So what sets this cookbook apart from the rest? Most of the recipes have very few ingredients and they are quick! I always shy away from recipes that have LONG lists of ingredients, especially weird spices that you may never use again. These recipes are full of flavor, and can be put together with a lot of ingredients I always keep in stock. The Chicken Parmesan is heavenly! So I suggest you get one. Really. It will make your life better. I promise.
Speaking of making your life better....
That same weekend I was also introduced to Sur le Table (pronounced with a snobby French accent as: Ser La Tob). Has anyone else been to one of these? It's kitchen heaven. Orange Le Crueset and kitchen gadgets make momma a happy lady. I could live in there. Unfortunately, it was our last stop on our way out of town, so I didn't have too much time to explore. (Dave's bank account is thankful). BUT, they do have a website, and I highly suggest you check it out:
